Dr. Prayas Sharma is working as Assistant Professor in the area of Decision Sciences at Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur, Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.  Dr. Sharma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Statistics, Masters and Doctorate degree in Statistics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India. India. Dr. Sharma Qualified National Eligibility Test (JRF
) conducted by UGC in 2011 . His research interest includes Survey Sampling, Estimation Procedures using Auxiliary Information and Measurement Errors, Predictive Modelling, Business Analytics and Operations Research. He has more than 6 years of post-Ph.D. experience, both in the domain of teaching and research. He has worked earlier with reputed Universities, National Rail and Transportation Institutes (Deemed University) Vadodara, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. Dr. Sharma has published 30 research papers in reputed National & International journals along with one book and two chapters in book internationally published.

Dr. Sharma has a keen interest in reading and publishing, He is serving 7 reputed journals as editor/associate editor and more than 30 journals as reviewer. Dr. Sharma has delivered more than 15 invited talks at different Institutes / Universities. He has also conducted training sessions for executives from Aviation, Medical and Energy sectors- IOCL, HPCL etc.
